Play Explore Create Approach

A Unique Approach

By producing a highly stimulating and engaging environment, each child has the opportunity to direct their learning motivated by their interests.

Children’s learning will be supported by highly capable and flexible educators experienced in expanding learning opportunities and scaffolding learning activities. Our educators will ensure that each child’s learning opportunities are maximised.

At PEC Early Learning, we believe that learning for all children should be fun and exciting. Children should have the freedom to explore and experiment within a well planned and stimulating environment. For all children, any attempt at learning will be recognised and praised.

Why use the Arts?

The core learning philosophy of PEC EARLY LEARNING PTY LTD is that children learn best through play and fun. The deliberate use of Music, Dance, Arts and Drama  within learning experiences promotes neurological development, accesses both intrinsic and extrinsic motivators and fosters social connection. The arts form the core to our learning approach: Play Explore Create (PEC EARLY LEARNING PTY LTD).

Developing our creativity stimulates creative problem solving and thinking patterns that will carry through into adulthood.

How we learn through the arts

Music, dance, drama and art are daily events at PEC Early Learning, not just a weekly incursion. Our learning activities are deliberate in the inclusion of the arts as we know all children are motivated by at least one of the art forms.

In practise, this means that our learning environments are structured to promote exploration, creativity and problem solving. Our Educators are skilled at scaffolding learning connecting curriculum outcomes; resources and play equipment are strategically selected and placed for children to freely access.

Social and communication skills are developed via adult modelling, expansion and peer practise.
